A cybersecurity client needed a faster, more systematic way to assess external domain security risks — including credentials exposed on the dark web and visibility into DNS configuration details.

The problem

Security teams were manually reviewing domain exposure with no unified view — slow, error-prone, and impossible to scale as their client base grew. Compromised credentials and DNS misconfigurations were being caught too late.

What we built

We deployed a Domain Assessment Service that automatically generates reports covering compromised credentials linked to the domain, dark web exposure findings, and full DNS record analysis — delivered on demand.

Cloud architecture to automate dark web scan execution at scale

A cybersecurity client's dark web scanning service was running as manual scripts on local machines. As their customer base grew, the manual process became a bottleneck. C3S built a fully automated cloud-native solution on AWS.

We built a serverless architecture using AWS Lambda to run scans simultaneously, centralized output storage in S3, and a real-time UI dashboard showing live scan logs over a secure socket connection.
